Commonly known as a Thebes stool, this is a distinctive piece of Egyptian Revival furniture, with a curved wooden seat supported by carved straight legs.
Designed in the early 20th century, it draws inspiration from ancient Egyptian seating styles.
It was popularized in England during the Victorian era’s fascination with Egyptology.
17″ x 17″ x 14.5″ high. Excellent condition for its age, displaying a very desirable patina conferred by time.
