Hand-crafted in Thailand, in the tradition of antique Thai and Khmer ceramics. Early 20th Century.

Sawankhalok, one of the main centers of ancient Thai ceramics until the 16th Century, was known for its green celadon glazed ceramics. But it also produced monochrome earthenware in other colors, notably black and brown, more in the Khmer style. Those techniques have been preserved through the centuries, as exemplified in this rustic, and yet beautiful vase.
