Thai Ceramic Vase, Mid 20th Century
$1,163.00
Product Description
A ceramic vase from Thailand, with off-white glaze. Mid 20th Century, circa 1940.
While the golden age of Thai ceramics ended around the 15-16th Centuries, local craftsmen have perpetuated the art through generations, producing a smaller number of pieces with different types of clay and glazing techniques. Today, Thailand’s artisans carry the tradition aided by more modern kilns and glazing techniques, while keeping the handcrafting tradition alive.
This mid-century vase is beautifully finished in a semi-gloss white color and a drop-shaped body, with a very narrow neck.
