Shipwreck-Reclaimed Ceramic Bowls, 19th C.
$300.00
Product Description
Three small ceramic bowls, reclaimed from a mid-19th shipwreck off the coast of Indonesia.
Defying time and the elements, these plates were preserved at the bottom of the sea until the late 1980s, when they were found, brought to the surface and restored.
The rustic earthenware still preserves its original glaze, with hand-etched floral motifs.
The bowls rest freely on bespoke metal stands at different heights. The average diameter of the bowls is 7 inches, and the average height is 2.5 inches.
