Persian Kilim Rug, Early 20th C.
$2,000.00
Product Description
A hand-knotted Kilim rug. Shiraz, Iran, circa 1920.
Beautifully preserved, this amazing flat-weaved rug combines pure hand-spun wool in natural shade, plus an array of dyes in several tones of blue and red, to form a primitive, simple, yet stunning geometric pattern with intricate finish. The colors of the natural dyes are still bright and deep throughout the decades.
Both sides of the rug are visually equal, with some naturally occurring knots throughout the surface. The flanges on both ends are an extension of the natural hand-knotting of the rug. Both of these features are a testament of its authenticity.
Dimensions: 4.5 x 7 feet.
