A knife-edge rectangular bolster pillow, with a cover made out of an Early 20th century Japanese Silk Obi.
The Obi is the long sash that wraps around a kimono to fasten it to the body, which through history became a symbol of status and a fashion statement, depending on the quality of the materials (mostly silk), and the decorations embroidered in it.
the Obi fabric used for this pillow is gold brocade silk, soft and thick, with square raised pattern and floral motifs. 30″ x 10″.
1-inch flange around the edges, with 3 layers of silk in gold, black and dark grey in the center.
It has a hidden zipper and a foam / dacron insert, which provides firmness and shape.
