A shield-shaped ceramic antefix from Thailand, early 19th century.
Hand-made in terracotta, glazed in white, with a subtle crackled texture reminiscent of celadon.
Reclaimed from old constructions and preserved in time, these architectural details were a decorative staple
in many traditional Thai buildings, particularly temples, pagodas and homes.
Mounted on a black metal stand, for a total height of 19 inches.Â
