Mid-20th Century Ceramic Vase, Thailand
$800.00
Product Description
A ceramic vase from Thailand, with off-white glaze. Mid-20th Century
While the golden age of Thai ceramics ended around the 15-16th Centuries, local craftsmen perpetuated the art through generations, later producing a smaller number of pieces with different types of clay and glazing techniques. Today, Thailand’s artisans carry the tradition aided by more modern kilns and more diverse glazing techniques, while keeping the handcrafting tradition alive.
This contemporary vase is beautifully finished in a semi-gloss white color and a round shape with a ridged body. 13 inches high, 9 inches in diameter and a 2.5-inch top opening.
